PGB 2024 Nordic Skiing Day

đź“Ť Location: Teacup Nordic Ski Area, Mt. Hood

Think of it as a low-key or DIY adventure. You get to ski at your own pace. There is no structured itinerary—just a day of skiing, fresh air, and maybe some après-ski stories to swap later.

What You Need to Know:

đź›· Trail Info: Teacup has trails for all skill levels. Check out their website to find the best fit for you.

🎿 Gear Up: You’ll need cross-country skis, boots, and poles. Dress in layers, bring sunscreen and don’t forget sunglasses (snow glare is real!). Need rentals? The Mountain Shop in Portland has you covered: Rental Info – A basic classic package runs about $30.

⚠️ Stay Safe: Tell someone your plan, bring water and snacks, and carry a small first-aid kit. Know the signs of hypothermia and frostbite—safety first, always.

🎟️ Trail Pass: Teacup Nordic requires a pass, which you can obtain here: Teacup Nordic Pass Info.

🌨️ Check the Weather: Conditions can change fast on the mountain. Dress smart—layers are key! National Weather Service | Mountain Forecast

đź‘‹ Meet-Up Spots: Want to connect with others? Suggest a meet-up at the Ray Garey Cabin (warming hut) at 9:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. to say hi and maybe link up for some laps.

🍕 Post Ski Meet-up: To be determined…

📸 Share the Stoke: Snap some photos and share your experience in the group chat afterward. We’d love to hear how your day went!

This event is about flexibility, fun, and fresh powder. Get outside, enjoy the trails, and make this a winter day to remember.

This is a friendly reminder that you are responsible for your safety and experience. Be prepared, ski smart, and have a blast!

See you on the trails! ❄️⛷️
